For the easiest handicap access, you can bring your car, van, or truck over on a barge, by appointment with Beal & Bunker, tel. (207) 244-3575, or J.P. Berzinis, Inc., tel. (207) 244-5525. However, this method is more expensive than the regularly-scheduled ferries.
Regular ferries running daily to the Cranberry Isles are passenger-only; they do not take cars or vans. They do accommodate handicap customers.
In all cases, of course, you must go from a float, over the gunwale (ship's side), and onto the ferry. The captain and deck hand are always available to assist boarding.

The museums and general stores on both islands are wheelchair accessible via ramps.
