Day visitors can use two free parking lots next to the town pier (one by the pier, the other across the street by the tennis courts), or the parking lot on the hill overlooking the harbor, behind the main street stores.
Overnight visitors can park, for a fee, in the police station parking lot near the town pier. The parking fee can be paid in the police station, which is always open; tel. (207) 276-5111. This might also be an option for day visitors if the free parking is full.
Long term paid parking is also available at Haynes Garage, tel. (207) 276-3773.
Visitors should be aware that there is a public toilet in the police station near the town pier.
There is free day and overnight parking at the Southwest Harbor Upper Town Dock on Clark Point Road. However, the number of spaces is limited, and the parking lot is tricky to find.
Starting on Route 102, at the flashing yellow light, turn east onto Clark Point Road. Go past the three-way intersection, then past the nearby "Speed Limit 25" sign. Now look for a second "Speed Limit 25" sign.
After that second sign, go past 6 houses on the right. The entrance to the parking lot is right there, on the right. The entrance is 0.4 miles from Route 102.
There is a porta-potty at the back of the parking lot.
There is free day-only (no overnight) parking in Manset near the Cranberry Connector (the dock and private parking lot in Manset owned by the Town of Cranberry Isles.)

Take Route 102 South, straight through the town of Southwest Harbor.
Turn left onto Route 102A, also known as Seawall Road or Manset Road.
Turn left onto Mansell Lane, just past a church on the right.
Turn left onto Shore Road.
Turn right into the dirt parking lot, just past the Cranberry Isles Dock, and before the Manset Town Dock.
Overnight visitors can park, for a fee, in the private parking at the Cranberry Connector in Manset. Six guest spots are available on a first come, first served basis. You must pay the fee and get a guest permit prior to parking there. Contact the Cranberry Isles Town Office, tel. (207) 244-4475. You will get a guest permit which must be displayed on your windshield. This might also be an option for day visitors if the free parking at the Southwest Harbor Upper Town Dock is full.
