Capt. Charles E. "Peter" Richardson was the second son of Meltiah and Carrie Richardson.
He was well-known as an expert sailor.
He is buried in the Stanley Cemetery on Great Cranberry Island.
Obituary
Charles E. Richardson, 86, of Cranberry Island, died July 14 at a Sullivan nursing home after a long illness. He was born at Cranberry Isle, Jan. 14, 1885, the son of Mel and Carrie (Stanley) Richardson. Surviving are several cousins. Funeral services were held Friday at Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mt. Desert with the Rev. Charles Partridge officiating. Burial was at Cranberry Isle.
